Acer has always been one of the companies with a huge catalog of laptops for all kinds of customers. Whether you’re someone whose primary focus is gaming or if you’re someone who needs something for casual use or maybe if you need something for your business needs, Acer has everything covered and without being overly expensive. Acer has always been budget-friendly from all sides but if you’re not someone who’s restrained by budget, Acer also provides some beefy performance heavy laptops.

Well with introductions out of the way let us compile some of the best Acer laptops available right now.

This list will help you in choosing the perfect laptop for yourself. So, whether you’re a student, a gamer, or someone who just wants something very basic, don’t worry we have all of you covered.

And this might be the best choice for you to decide on one since sales are close considering it’s almost the end of this year.

Below are the best laptops Acer has to offer right now, we’ve tried to compile this list based on performance.

1. Acer Predator Helios 300

Specifications:

  • Processor – Intel 10th Gen i7 10750H
  • Display – 39.6cm (15.6-inch) IPS display @ 1080p with LED backlit display
  • Graphics – 2 available options to choose from GTX 1650Ti and RTX 2060.
  • Memory – 16GB DDR4
  • Storage – 256GB PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD @ 7200RPM
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Available at – Acer

To start, we have Helios 300. Acer’s list will be incomplete without mentioning the predator series laptop which is one of the most premium laptops Acer has to offer right now.

Everything in this laptop is very high end and doesn’t disappoint. The keyboard has full RGB lighting and can be fully customized through Acer’s in-built app. After 2 years since its first release, the 2020 Generation of the predator has been improved more than ever before. The Display offers a 144Hz screen. The design of this laptop is very premium from all sides. But it doesn’t mean it won’t be heavy, it weighs over 2Kg so it is pretty heavy to move around. You will be having 2 GPU options with this laptop, don’t need to give more info about 1650 as we had more laptops with that but if you do have a higher budget, you can blindly go for the RTX 2060 variant which offers 6GB VRAM. Thanks to Nvidia’s latest technology, you can also enjoy exclusive Ray Tracing technology as well as DLSS which will give you a huge performance boost on the games which support it. 2060 is a game-changer and will run almost everything at max.

2. Acer Nitro 5

Specifications:

  • Processor – Intel 10th Gen i7 / i5
  • Display – 39.6cm (15.6-inch) IPS display @ 1080p with LED backlit display
  • Graphics – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti with 4GB of dedicated VRAM
  • Memory – 8GB DDR4
  • Storage – 256GB PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD @ 7200RPM
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Acer Nitro 5 is one of the most popular Gaming laptops from Acer and it rightfully deserves it. This laptop is powered by intel’s 10th Gen H series Processor so you’re already going along with the best. It also has 2 available options for CPU, depending on your budget you can either go with the i5 or i7.

Nitro 5 offers a 144Hz Display which is a game-changer for any FPS oriented gamer where every frame matters. The keyboard’s quality is just as same as Aspire 7 but the trackpad feels a lot smoother. Speakers though remain average and it gets very loud during your gaming sessions.

Thankfully you won’t have to worry about space as it does have an extra 1TB of hard drive albeit the SSD is smaller. And just like the other, since it has the same GPU, you’ll find yourself configuring settings for the latest FPS games. Nitro 5 stays relatively cool when compared to aspire 7 but still, it can get pretty hot. This laptop also supports a dual RAM channel so try to get a RAM stick as soon as possible to get the best performance from your hardware.

Acer Nitro 5 packs a punch and will be a very satisfying purchase for any gamer who wants to make the most out of that 144Hz display as it’s a huge selling point of this laptop.

3. Acer Aspire 7

Specifications –

  • Processor- Intel 9th Gen i5 9300H
  • Display – 39.6cm (15.6-inch) IPS display @ 1080p with LED backlit display
  • Graphics – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti with 4GB of dedicated VRAM
  • Memory – 8GB DDR4
  • Storage – 512GB PCIe Gen3, NVMe SSD
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Available At – Flipkart

And the last gaming-oriented laptop from Acer on our list. From the looks of it does seem very simple as it is entirely made up of plastic but the thing inside is what matters the most. Since it’s a gaming laptop don’t expect it to be light. This beast weighs over 2Kg. The IPS display is vibrant but the speakers are below average. Surprisingly Acer also added a fingerprint sensor to this laptop. The 1650Ti is still more than enough for almost all AAA games nowadays. So, you can throw anything you have with you and this system will handle everything with ease. Just keep in mind it can’t run everything at max settings so you’ll be compromising on settings for the ideal performance but that isn’t a huge compromise. The keyboard is very comfy for your typing but the trackpad is very average and feels kind of cheap. The laptop does get heat up during long sessions of gaming, especially around the middle part of the keyboard which can get a bit annoying.

One thing you should note that this laptop only has one 512gigs of SSD which will be an issue considering games take a lot of space these days. So, it’s better to have a dedicated HDD or you can also have an external hard drive. Oh, and try to get another stick of RAM since it supports the DUAL RAM channel and your performance will significantly improve if you do add one more.

In conclusion, Acer’s Aspire 7 is a very good entry-level gaming laptop, tailored for anyone who moves a lot but wants to continue his gaming needs as well.

4. Acer Swift 3

Specifications –

  • Processor – AMD Ryzen 5 4500U Hexa-core Processor with a max frequency of 4.0 GHz.
  • Display – 35.6 cm (14.0-inch) full HD display with IPS panel and LED Backlit
  • Graphics – AMD Radeon Graphics
  • Memory – 8GB LPDDR4 RAM
  • Storage – 512GB PCIe Gen3, NVME SSD
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

Acer Swift 3 is one of the best and cheapest ultra-thin laptops in the market right now. Weighing around 1.2Kg and at 1.59cm (15.95mm) This laptop is probably the best if you travel regularly and need a laptop all the time with you. And with all of these things aside, you have built-in Alexa as well as a fingerprint sensor, providing you even more security. Oh, and forgot to mention it also has Microsoft Office Home which will cover all your basic needs. You’re getting a lot for a lot less and that’s why it makes it such a wonderful laptop.

With AMD’s newest CPU, you not only have the best performance out of the window but you’ll have a laptop that is more power-efficient than its competitors.

But since it’s a budget laptop you’ll have to compromise on something. With this, you’ll be having a below-average speaker, it is just there and honestly not worth using. Keyboards are also a bit cramped.

But aside from these, if you’re in search of an ultrabook and if you’re on a tight budget you can’t go wrong with this.

5. Acer Aspire 5

Specifications –

  • Processor – Intel 11th Generation i5-1135G7
  • Display – 35.6cm (14.0-inch) Full HD display with IPS panel and backlit
  • Graphics – Intel® Iris® Xᵉ Graphics
  • Memory – 8GB Dual-channel DDR4 SDRAM
  • Storage – 512GB SSD, PCIe Gen3 NVMe (Extra slot for HDD)
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

This Aspire series from Acer is also a pretty good choice for those who need portability but need a bit extra performance. This laptop weighs around 1.1kg which is pretty light. Powered by intel’s latest 11th gen processor. This is probably one of the cheapest intel 11th gen laptops you can find in the market right now. Since it also comes with a free HDD slot, you can expand your storage up to 2TB which is great in case you’re limited by storage. Aspire 5 is also very aesthetically pleasing and gives you a lot of colors to choose from. It gives off a very premium look. Intel’s newest integrated GPU is also present here, Iris is a very budget-friendly GPU and it can offer a lot, you can even have light gaming sessions on this. The GPU isn’t strong but it can get your things done. But you do have options, a higher variant of this model does provide Nvidia’s MX350 which is a noticeable upgrade but it is also expensive. Tho it’s something one wants to consider so we had to mention.

All in all, it is a great laptop with lots of features, intel’s Iris is a very welcoming bonus and you’ll also be able to enjoy intel’s latest-gen processor at this price.

6. Acer Swift 3X

Specifications –

  • Processor – Intel 11th Generation i5-1135G7 or i7-1165G7
  • Display – 35.6cm (14.0-inch) Full HD display with IPS panel and backlit
  • Graphics – Intel® Iris® Xᵉ Graphics with 4GB dedicated VRAM
  • Memory – 16GB LPDDR4X
  • Storage – 512GB, Hybrid Storage SSD NVMe, with the integration of 32GB intel Optane memory.
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Available At – Acer

This laptop comes in 2 variants and you can choose whichever suits your needs as switching from i5 to i7 will cost you more. This Swift Variant is a bit more expensive than the previous one in our list as it packs even more. Tho you will have to compromise on weight as this weighs around 1.4kg which is a bit on the heavy side. But it compensates with the significant performance increase. Swift 3x comes with intel’s 11th gen processor and has an integrated 4GB VRAM from intel itself. And considering intel’s Iris is a huge step in the right direction. And yes, like the previous one it does have Microsoft Office installed and comes with a fingerprint sensor.

But also like the previous one, the keyboards are still cramped and all other issues persist.

This may seem a bit expensive than the previous one but if you are in search of more performance you really can’t go wrong with this one.

7. Acer Spin 5

Acer-Spin-5-Convertible-Laptop-With-Alexa-Built-In-And-Active-Stylus-Pen

Specifications –

  • Processor – Intel 10th Generation i5-1035G4
  • Display – 34.2cm (13.5-inch) IPS display @ 2256 x 1504p with LED backlit.
  • Graphics – Intel® Iris® Xᵉ Graphics
  • Memory – 16GB LPDDR4X RAM
  • Storage – 512GB, PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Available at – Acer

Acer Spin is a great choice for those who are in search of 2-in-1 laptops. This multi-touch laptop is all about your preference and ease. It comes with a stylus pen as well and has Alexa built-in. Spin 5 weighs around 1.2Kg so it’s pretty easy to move with this thing. The 3:2 Screen display gives you a lot on your screen than your average 16:9 laptop. The stylus’s quality feels premium and is very smooth to use.

Spin’s performance is something worth mentioning as well, while it does get a little warm (albeit not that noticeable) it can take all your day-to-day tasks as well and can easily handle content creation thanks to Intel’s Iris X GPU.

Surprisingly the battery backup is better than we expected, it can easily tag along with you for roughly 9-10 hours.

Acer Spin is an incredible option at this price point, with every basic feature covered and overall a very pleasant looking laptop. This is something you should consider purchasing.

8. Acer Spin 3

Acer Spin 3

Specifications –

  • Processor – Intel 10th Generation i5-1035G4
  • Display – 35.6m (14.0-inch) IPS display @ 1080p with LED backlit
  • Graphics – Intel® Iris® Plus Graphics
  • Memory – 8GB LPDDR4X RAM
  • Storage – 512GB, PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD
  • OS – Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Available At – Acer

Spin 3 is a more budget-oriented laptop. If you are in search of a 2-in-1 laptop but hoping to save more bucks by compromising on something, look no further. With this you get 8 gigs of RAM, the display is now 1080p and most of all it’s heavier (around 1.49kg). The screen quality has also taken a noticeable hit. Tho it does have all the things spin 5 had, which includes your stylus, fingerprint sensor, and all your thunderbolt ports.

All in all, this is a compressed version of spin 5 and is an available option for you if you’re on a tight budget but at the same time, you’re searching for 2-in-1 laptops.

9. Acer Chromebook CB314-1H

Specifications –

  • Processor – Intel Pentium Silver Processor
  • Display – 35.6cm (14.0-inch) display @ 1366x768p
  • Memory – 8GB DDR4 RAM
  • Storage – 32GB eMMC
  • OS – Chrome OS

This budget heavy laptop can also be your choice if you’re looking for something minimalistic. Chromebook runs on Google’s Chrome OS which is very user friendly and seemingly very fast. It will have all the google apps so it will be even more familiar to use. While it does have low storage, google provides 100GB of additional cloud space so if you’re someone with active and fast internet all the time it is a great alternative. There isn’t much to say about Chromebook laptops, they are made for minimal works and do carry out that job effortlessly. Tho at this price it doesn’t have some basic features which include a backlit keyboard. This can be a huge dealbreaker for many and should be kept in mind while making a purchase. It is also on the heavy side of things weighing almost 1.5Kg which makes it way too heavy for the feature it provides.

Chromebooks are all about simplicity and this intel powered laptop is a complete package for you if you decide to look past those specific issues with this laptop.

10. Acer Chromebook R13 Convertible Laptop

Specifications –

  • Processor – MediaTek Processor M8173C Quad-Core ARM
  • Display – 33.7cm (13.3-inch) IPS display @ 1080p with LED backlit
  • Graphics – PowerVR GX6250GPU
  • Memory – 4G LPDDR3 memory
  • Storage – 64GB eMMC
  • OS – Chrome OS
  • Available at – Acer

This is by far the cheapest available convertible laptop on this list. This super budget-friendly laptop packs a punch. With Chrome OS you sure are limited by available options in software but other than that, you will be fine if your primary is aim is only for the basic day-to-day task. The keyboard is surprisingly quite comfortable and the touchscreen is just as responsive. Though, this laptop lacks a lot when it comes to performance. It starts to shutter when you have multiple tabs open. The performance is very average and this should be kept in mind before purchase. On the other hand, battery life is more than decent, lasting over 10 hours.

In the end, it is a very limited laptop but with a combination of lots of good things. This is not the ideal piece for those who are looking for productivity or heavy multitasking. But a great choice if you want a cheap convertible laptop.

11. Acer One 14

Specifications –

  • Processor – 8th Generation Intel i3
  • Display – 35.56cm (14.0-inch) display @ 1366x768p

Due to this lockdown, everyone requires laptops, whether it’s for attending a class, meeting, or for some basic entertainment. This laptop is very basic and hence tailored towards only these kinds of people. The keyboard is quality is decent but the trackpad feels very cheap. The battery life is also very average, giving you around 4 hours on average. The display isn’t FHD either so it lacks from that side as well.

There isn’t much to say about this laptop aside from that it is very limited but it’s a perfect solution for those who need something cheap for their daily classes and all.
