The Nvidia GTX 1660Ti is one of the best 1080p gaming graphics cards you can buy. The GPU is based on the Turing architecture which is the same one that is used in the 20 series graphics cards like 2060, 2070 and 2080. The only difference is that the 1660ti does not include the Tensor and RT(Ray Tracing) cores, which enable you to enjoy ray traced visuals in games.

Price:

Most 1660Ti laptops are priced much cheaper than the 2060 variants. You only lose out on 10-15% in performance, which is a reasonable tradeoff, considering how expensive 2060 laptops can get.Of course, if you prefer Ray Traced gaming, then an RTX card will be a better option.

Best Nvidia GTX 1660Ti Laptops in India

1. ASUS TUF A15 FA506IU

(AMD Ryzen 7 4800H,8GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti, 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD,144Hz Screen)

ASUS-TUF-Gaming-A15-Laptop

The newly launched Asus TUF A15 is a very well specced laptop that has performance that is well above its price point. This is mostly due to its fantastic processor, the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, an 8 core performance beast that can outperform even the much higher priced Intel Core i7 and i9 variants. If you are a person that needs the ultimate CPU performance in applications like video editing, music production, AutoCAD,3D modelling etc then this processor is the best you can get in a laptop.

But we do caution you that the laptop comes with only 8GB of RAM, which is a bit of a bottleneck, considering the other specifications that the laptop has. You would have much better performance if you upgrade the RAM to 16GB. In terms of storage, you have 1TB of HDD and 256GB of SSD storage. Having the SSD is a big plus and since you have the normal HDD too, you can store less used programs on it and use the SSD for frequently used ones. The laptop also has a 144Hz screen, so gaming on will be an amazing experience.

But the laptop does fall short in a major category, that is heat management. Probably the most infamous thing about this laptop is that it heats up a lot and frankly it has no way of lowering temps as of now.

Of course you can raise the laptop to improve air flow, but the vents under the laptop are blocked, so there’s little to no airflow in the chassis. So this is a major flaw, and if you are in a particularly warm climate, then this would not be a good option.

2. HP Omen 15 en0002AX

(AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti)

HP-Omen-15.6-inch-FHD-Gaming-Laptop

The HP Omen is really a perfect example of a laptop that looks sophisticated and still has amazing performance inside it. The laptop has been completely redesigned to look as modern as possible without the use of flashy lights, sharp corners or futuristic design. The laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, a very capable processor that can even give the Intel Core i7 10750H a run for its money.

This 6 core processor is a performance powerhouse. In terms of RAM however, the HP Omen does fall short by only including 8GB of RAM. Ryzen processors really favor higher capacity of RAM, especially if it is in dual channel mode. So we suggest you upgrade it in the future to unlock the laptop’s full potential. You also get 512GB of SSD storage, which is reasonable, but it might seem very less if you play a lot of modern games like COD Warzone, which itself is around 200GB.

So, if you have worries about storage space, you can easily upgrade it, as it has an extra NVMe space to store another SSD. Unfortunately though, you do lose out on the refresh rate in this laptop, as it only has a 60Hz screen, which is kind of a letdown, since the 1660Ti is more than capable of running competitive games at more than 100fps easily.

3. Lenovo Legion Y540

(Intel Core i5 9300H, 8GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti, 144Hz)

Lenovo-Legion-Y540-9th-Gen-Core-Intel-I5-15.6-inch-FHD-Gaming-Laptop-1

The Lenovo Legion Y540 is one of the best selling laptops of last year, and that is a well deserved title. The legion is a laptop that has a very professional outer appearance but has hardware that is well suited for gaming as well. This variant of the Y540 is powered by the Intel Core i5 9300H, a decent performing CPU for gaming but a bit underpowered in terms of video editing performance, since it is only a 4 core processor. This laptop also has 8GB of RAM, which like we have said up to now, is a bit low if you are an avid gamer.

So upgrade it when you can. In terms of storage, it has 1TB of SSD storage, which is a very good feature. Most laptops do not offer high capacity SSDs so this is a rare feat. You won’t have to compromise storage space for speed in this laptop.

You also get Microsoft Office 2019 included with the laptop, which is a nice bonus. Coming to the screen, it has a fast 144Hz screen, so no problems there. Overall, this is a very good option if you can tolerate the i5 processor.

4. MSI GF65

(Intel Core i7 9750H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti, 144Hz Screen)

The MSI GF65 is the cheapest 1660Ti laptop that you can find online. If you want to save money and still get your desired gaming performance, then this is a very good choice. The laptop is powered by the Intel Core i7 9750H, a very powerful processor that has incredible gaming performance. We admit, it is one year old at this point, but the 9th Gen i7 can still hold its ground in terms of providing high frame rates. The other specifications include 16GB of RAM, which means you will have no problem running multiple tasks and hence day to day work will also be a breeze. In terms of storage, you have 512GB of SSD storage.

Although the capacity is low, you still get high transfer speed, which will ensure quick load times in games as well as Windows boot times. Complementing the whole system, you also get a 144Hz refresh rate screen, which is a big bonus.

In terms of aesthetics, the laptop does have the red accents, which is subject to taste. But overall the build is solid. The keyboard is also backlit, but with only red backlight. You don’t get a numpad in the keyboard layout though, so keep that in mind.

5. Acer Nitro 7

Acer-Nitro-7-9th-Gen-Core-i5-15.6-inch-Full-HD-IPS-Thin-and-Light-Gaming-Laptop

This Acer Nitro 7 is a bit overpriced right now, but when you do get it on sale, it is a good purchase. The processor is the Intel Core i5 9300H, which like we said, is a bit underpowered for CPU intensive tasks. But for gaming, it is good enough.

Like the other laptops, this one also has just 8GB of RAM. For modern gaming, we highly recommend 16GB of RAM, so consider upgrading it when you can.

6. Dell Inspiron G3 3590

(Intel Core i7 9750H, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti, MS Office)

The Dell Inspiron G3 is one of Dell’s gaming oriented laptops, bringing inspiration from Alienware line up of laptops. This laptop is a bit overpriced though, since you can get much better specifications and hardware at this price than what is being offered here. You get last year’s Intel Core i7 9750H as the processor, again a very powerful CPU.

But the rest of the specifications are underwhelming at best. For such a high price, you only get 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.

Instead of upgrading the hardware, we highly suggest looking for another alternative, mainly because this laptop is also known for having overheating issues.

7. Acer Nitro 5

(Intel Core i5 9300H, 8GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 256GB SSD, Nvidia 1660Ti, 144Hz Screen)

The Acer Nitro 5 is very similar to the Nitro 7 but with a plastic build. But that doesn’t mean the build quality is any worse. But the aesthetic is different though. The processor is very underwhelming at this price point though, since an Intel Core i5 for more than 1 lakh is not recommended if you want value for your money.

The laptop does have a very prominent weather though. It houses a 2TB HDD inside it, which means you wont have to worry about storage space for quite a while with this laptop. It also has a 256GB of SSD storage as its boot drive.

So windows will be very fast and have really quick boot times. The screen is also 144Hz, so expect really smooth and tear free gameplay with this one. The cooling system on the Nitro 5 is a bit lacking though, so overheating might be an issue.

8. Asus ROG Strix G17

(Intel Core i7 10750H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti, 120Hz)

Asus-Gaming-Laptop-ROG-Strix-G17-i7

The Acer ROG Strix G17 is a very aesthetic laptop for gamers. It is famous for its RGB lights, especially because of the underglow effect that it has under the chassis. All the lights are fully customisable and look really cool if you are a fan of RGB lights. The laptop is powered by the Intel Core i7 10750H, the newest iteration of the i7 6 core processor. It is a very good performer in terms of gaming as well as video editing.

You get 16GB of RAM, which is a big plus since the components will really benefit from this much RAM. In terms of storage, you get 512GB of NVMe SSD storage, which is decent since you are getting fast storage but the capacity could have been more at this price point.

The laptop also has a 120Hz screen, instead of 144Hz, though you won’t necessarily find any difference when playing games. This variant is also bigger in size as it has a 17 inch screen, so it has a bit more weight. But the increase in screen size will be a big plus if you use this as your main display.

9. Asus ROG Zephyrus G14

(AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti Max-Q, 120Hz)

ASUS Zephyrus G14

If you want a laptop that has a compact size but still packs a hefty punch, then this is one of the best options. The Zephyrus G14 is this year’s most powerful laptop for this 14 inch form factor. The laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS, a processor that is exclusive to this laptop only for the time being. It is an 8 core beast and blows the competition away in almost all multi-core benchmarks. You get 16GB of RAM inside, which means the processor will have enough headroom to perform to its fullest capacity.

In terms of storage, you have 1TB of SSD storage, a great option, since you don’t have to sacrifice capacity for speed. It’s important to note that this laptop has the Max Q variant, which means it is a bit lower powered than the actual 1660Ti laptops found in other laptops. But still, the GPU performs well enough for 1080p gaming that you won’t notice it. The laptop also has some other features which are unique to just this model, like the Anime matrix display.

10. HP Envy 15 ep0123TX

(Intel Core i7 10750H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti)

The HP Envy 15 is a laptop for people who have no cap on the amount of money they want to spend. The laptop is a very high end machine and has a very professional design, while still having absolutely amazing specifications. The HP Envy is powered by the Intel Core i7 10750H, a high performance processor which is suitable for almost all modern tasks from gaming to productivity.

But one thing to point out is that for such a high price, you do not get a high refresh rate screen on this laptop which is a shame, since that would make it a perfect all-rounder. The screen is a touch display though, so it is kind of a compensation. You also get a fingerprint reader right on the keyboard.

11. Alienware m15 R3

(Intel Core i7 10750H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti, 300Hz display)

If you want the absolute best of the best when it comes to a gaming machine, Alienware is the best company for it. It is a company known for its attention to cooling and other enhancements just for gamers and high end users. Everything from the design of the laptop to the software is made to work at its absolute best. The laptop’s design is ultra futuristic without looking like a cheap toy.

The laptop is actually lighter than you would think, at just 2.5kg it is lighter than the ROG Strix laptop mentioned above. The biggest feature of this laptop is the cooling. Alienware has gone great lengths to ensure that the laptop never gets hot under load and when you see the rear vents and exhausts, you will know why. The vents are wide and large, ensuring the most amount of airflow.

So, rest assured, you will never have to worry about the laptop overheating. Another great feature about the laptop is that the screen has a refresh rate of 300Hz, this is the fastest screen ever on a laptop. We admit, most games won’t run at that high frame rates, but games like CSGO, Valorant, Fortnite should run at those framerates, and it would look absolutely phenomenal.

The laptop is powered by the Intel Core i7 10750H, has 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. The storage should have been a lot more considering the price of the laptop, so that is a negative there.
